Join us for the bottle release and draught tapping of Lay of the Land, a Farmhouse Ale brewed in collaboration with Fonta Flora Brewery. $25 ticket includes the 500 ml bottle, food and entertainment.

Lay of the Land is a subtle Saison brewed with North Carolina sourced barley, rye and buckwheat and West Virginia sourced maple syrup from Moonstruck Maple. It was fermented in cider barrels from Hawk Knob Cidery and Meadery with a modest amount of West Virginia grown peaches. Those oak barrels were originally Smooth Ambler whiskey barrels! After some time, we bottle conditioned this beer with more of Moonstruck’s maple syrup. The very talented West Virginia artist, Logan Schmitt did the beautiful artwork for this bottle featuring the state bird for both NC and WV along with maple leaves and peaches.

With all that said, this beer was made by brewers that love brewing and drinking Saisons. It’s EASY drinking and full of local love.
